RULES AND REGULATIONS OF MASJID BILAL IBN RABAH, INC.

The Masjid is the house of Allah and a place of worship. This is a spiritual center for the Muslim Community, and a focal point for Islamic activities. As such, the Masjid deserves to be shown due respect and reverence, and be used strictly in accordance with the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Masjid Bilal is open for ALL community members; however, for the smooth running of the Masjid, the Executive Committee (EC) has approved the following rules and regulations. The cooperation of all Muslim brothers and sisters attending the Masjid is expected and greatly appreciated.

Please keep the Masjid neat and clean at all times and remember to turn off ALL lights before leaving. Jazaakumullahu khairan.

ACTIVITIES

All activities held at Masjid shall be conducted strictly according to the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

DRESS CODE

Masjid attendees (men and women) are required to observe modest dress code in all functions at the Masjid.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any announcement that needs to be brought to the attention of the community should be given to one of the members of the Masjid EC before Friday.

Prior permission from the EC is required before the distribution of any material in the Masjid.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE HELP:

Please give name, address, phone number and reason to any EC member.

Financial assistance depends upon funds availability and the approval of the members of the family assistance program.

EC PERMISSION IS REQUIRED BEFORE:

Any meetings or activities held at the Masjid other than regular prayers, Sunday school, and meetings called by the Executive Committee and/or Board of Trustees.

(Depending on the nature of the meeting/activity requested, a fee may be applied to cover expenses, such as utility bills.)

Placing books, pictures, or other educational materials in the Masjid.

Borrowing books or other educational materials from the Masjid.

Giving the door lock combination to strangers or newcomers.

Picking up any donated items unless officially announced.

GENERAL NOTICES

Masjid Bilal shall not be liable in any manner for the loss of or damage to personal property belonging to any person visiting or inhabiting the building.

Any problem that occurs in the Masjid has to be brought immediately to the attention of the EC.

Masjid Bilal and its premises are Non-smoking zones!

In accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), no barriers of any type should be placed between men and women in the prayer area.

ACTIONS NOT PERMITTED AT THE MASJID:

Any political gathering/discussion/ campaigning.

Cooking meals (Warming and reheating or pre-cooked meals are permissible).

Long-distance or collect phone calls for personal use.

Borrowing equipment or other Masjid property for personal use.

Changing the thermostat setting of the Masjid A/C.

Leaving children unattended anytime in the Masjid and/or in the parking area.

Long-term parking in the Masjid parking area. (In case of an emergency, please contact any EC member).

Overnight stays in the Masjid except (Da'wah visitors and Qiyamul Lail).
